Privacy Policy
Last updated October 25, 2026
This policy explains what Edgebook stores, where, and the choices you have. The short version: your journal stays on your own device, your trades are visible only to you, and we never sell your data.
Where your journal is stored
- On your device. Your account, trades, notes, settings and holdings are saved in your web browser on the phone or computer you use. They aren't uploaded to Edgebook or to any database.
- Your passcode. Your passcode is stored on your device only as a one-way scrambled value (a hash), never as the passcode itself.
- Imports. When you import a CSV from your broker, the file is read inside your browser. It isn't sent anywhere.
What we collect
- We don't collect your trades, your passcode or your email address.
- Our hosting provider, Netlify, keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
Your choices
- Edit or delete any trade, note or holding at any time in the app.
- Click "Download backup" to save a copy of your journal, and use Import → Restore a backup to move it to another device.
- To remove your journal from a device, clear this site's data in your browser settings. Do this only after downloading a backup if you want to keep it.
WrenAI
WrenAI's reviews, answers and chart readings are worked out inside your browser. Your trades and any chart pictures you upload are not sent to us or to any AI service.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Anyone who can unlock your phone or computer could open your journal if you choose to stay signed in, so use "Switch account" to sign out on shared devices.
Children
Edgebook is for adults 18 and over.
Changes
If we change this policy in a material way, we'll update the date above and note the change on the site.
